Shri Prabhu's Miracles
Shri Prabhu was endowed with miraculous powers that he used for the welfare of his devotees and the world. He could heal the sick, revive the dead, control the elements, foretell the future, read the minds and hearts of others, and manifest anything he wished. He could also travel to different places and dimensions in an instant, and appear in multiple forms at the same time. He could also bestow these powers on his disciples and followers.
Some of the most famous miracles of Shri Prabhu are: curing a leper named Ramchandra Buva Nasikkar, who later became his first biographer; bringing back to life a child named Ganesh Shivram Tole, who later became his second biographer; saving a devotee named Ganesh Raghunath Kulkarni from a snake bite; transforming a barren land into a fertile one by planting a mango seed; creating a spring of water in a dry place by striking his staff; making a stone idol of Lord Dattatreya speak and bless his devotees; and appearing in his original form as Lord Dattatreya to his disciples and followers.
Shri Prabhu's Teachings
Shri Prabhu taught the path of Shuddhadvaita or pure non-dualism, which is based on the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. He explained that there is only one reality, which is Brahman or the Supreme Self, and everything else is an illusion or Maya. He said that the individual soul or Jiva is not different from Brahman, but only appears to be so due to ignorance or Avidya. He said that the goal of human life is to realize one's true nature as Brahman and attain liberation or Moksha.
Shri Prabhu gave simple and practical instructions to his devotees on how to achieve this goal. He said that one should have faith in God and Guru, and surrender to their will. He said that one should practice devotion or Bhakti, which is the easiest and most effective way to attain God. He said that one should also practice discrimination or Viveka, which is the ability to distinguish between the real and the unreal. He said that one should also practice detachment or Vairagya, which is the renunciation of worldly desires and attachments. He said that one should also practice service or Seva, which is the expression of love and compassion for all beings.
